I love patterntap.com and ui-patterns.com for looking at UI and design inspiration for websites. However the majority of my work revolves around mobile now and I haven’t found anything quite like these sites for iphone and Android apps.

I had a laptop didn’t have the “recover” option after booting into F8 as Dell said it would…ctrl + F11 didn’t do anything.  But I do have the recovery (D:) partition in tact.

So to turn reload the .wim image, you need to get to a dos prompt.  You can use your Vista install dvd or XP or just something to get the machine into DOS.

Then run this command:

D:\tools\imagex /apply d:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 c:\

Where D: is your recovery partition and D:\tools contains “imagex” and then point that to your .wim

Took my machine about 45 minutes to complete the restore, didn’t seem to be working at first but it eventually finished.  After a reboot you should be set.
